TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions (the "Service")
1. Duration & Participation
The NG AIRTEL Swipe It Service is an interactive multi-platform hypercasual Gaming SMS & mobile site content service exclusively for AIRTEL Nigeria subscribers. The Service is designed to deliver instant fun and entertainment through simple yet engaging swipe-based mini-games featuring vibrant visuals and captivating gameplay. This service is provided courtesy of Rembrandt Global Services (henceforth referred to as the "ORGANIZER"). The service commences in 2026.
The service consists of an interactive gaming portal (web application) accessible via smartphone and advanced feature phones. Upon each successful daily charge, subscribers are awarded three (3) game credits, each redeemable to play one game session. The Service offers the following game types:
- True or False
- Yes or No
- Europe or Africa
All three games are always available regardless of whether the subscriber has previously played any of them within the same day. Games follow a common mechanic: users have thirty (30) seconds per session to answer as many questions as possible by swiping right or left, or by tapping the on-screen answer icons. Correct answers award twenty (20) points each; incorrect answers award zero (0) points and do not deduct any points.
A Bonus Challenge is additionally available within specific time slots each day. A countdown banner on the portal homepage displays the time remaining in the active Bonus Challenge window or the time until the next window opens. Bonus Challenge games are distinct in format from the regular games but retain swiping and tapping mechanics. Bonus challenge points contribute to the overall leaderboard.
A leaderboard is available within the portal, displaying the ranking of all participating users based on accumulated points. Users can scroll the Leaderboard to view their standing relative to other PARTICIPANTS.
Upon successful subscription and charge, subscribers receive an SMS containing a tokenized URL to the Swipe It portal along with their login credentials (username and password) provided by Upstream.
2. Means of Participation
AIRTEL subscribers can join the service by sending the keyword "OK SW" to the service short code 7802, after which a Double Opt-In (DOI) confirmation step will be initiated by AIRTEL via USSD or SMS. The subscriber must confirm their intent to proceed (Auto Renew or One-off) before being enrolled.
Users may also subscribe via the Web or Portal by visiting the Swipe It landing page at nae-ng-airtel-swipe.rbr.gg and completing the web recruitment flow, which redirects to the AIRTEL SecureD subscription process.
Upon confirmation of subscription, the user will be enrolled and will receive a Welcome/Legal message from AIRTEL, followed by a Welcome MT containing the tokenized portal URL served by the ORGANIZER.
3. Free Trial
In order to achieve the best possible user recruitment, new subscribers will be offered a free trial period of one (1) day upon their first subscription to the service. During the free trial period, the subscriber will have full access to the portal and its game content.
Each user is entitled to only one (1) free trial period. If a user unsubscribes after the trial period and subsequently re-subscribes, no additional free trial period will be granted.
4. Eligibility
The SERVICE is open to residents of Nigeria who are active subscribers of AIRTEL Nigeria and are over 18 years of age.
Employees, representatives, and agents of the ORGANIZER, their respective parent and/or affiliated companies, and those domiciled with any of the foregoing are excluded from participation.
The person who owns the SIM card, or who has express authorization from the SIM card owner to use it, is considered the PARTICIPANT, regardless of the actual user of the handset.
5. Service & Points
Upon each successful daily charge, subscribers are awarded three (3) game credits. One (1) credit is deducted upon the subscriber starting each game session. Credits are non-transferable and expire at the end of the applicable billing cycle.
Points are earned as follows during regular game sessions:
Action | Points Earned |
Correct Answer (any game) | 20 Points |
Incorrect Answer (any game) | 0 Points (no deduction) |
Help: Double Your Points (activated) | Double points per correct answer for that session |
Help: Add More Time (activated) | Additional 10 seconds added to the 30-second timer |
Bonus Challenge (when available) | Points contribute to overall Leaderboard |
Help features: Before commencing each game session, subscribers may optionally activate one (1) of the following two Help options:
- Double Your Points — doubles the points earned for every correct answer during that session.
- Add More Time — grants an additional ten (10) seconds to the standard thirty (30) second game timer.
Each subscriber may use one (1) Help every two (2) hours. Helps are automatically recharged every two (2) hours. Only one Help may be selected per game session; a subscriber may also choose not to use any Help. Help is activated at the commencement of the game session (when the timer starts).
During a game session, the Burger Menu and Profile icon are disabled. There is no pause or exit option once a game has been started.
Subscribers may check their total accumulated points at any time by sending the keyword "POINTS SW" to the service short code 7802 at no cost.
6. Cost & Subscription
The Swipe It Service is charged at a daily subscription fee of N100 (inclusive of all applicable taxes) after the initial one (1) day free trial period.
In the event that a PARTICIPANT does not have sufficient airtime to be charged on a given day, the following fallback micro-tariff schedule will be applied at the discretion of the ORGANIZER:
Fallback Level | Charge Amount | Hours from Renewal |
Fallback 1 | N70 | 23 Hours |
Fallback 2 | N50 | 22 Hours |
Fallback 3 | N30 | 21 Hours |
Fallback 4 | N10 | 20 Hours |
In the event that a PARTICIPANT is not successfully charged within the service renewal period, s/he will not be eligible to access the portal or its game content for that day.
PARTICIPANTS who are not successfully charged for a consecutive period of ninety (90) days will be automatically unsubscribed from the service by the system. This cancellation rule is handled by AIRTEL.
Upon each successful charge, the PARTICIPANT will receive one (1) SMS notification confirming the successful renewal of their service subscription.
7. Cancellation & Unsubscription
PARTICIPANTS may terminate their subscription at any time by sending the keyword "STOP OK SW" to the service short code 7802, free of charge.
Cancellation may also be initiated directly from within the Swipe It portal via the dedicated Call-to-Action (CTA) button accessible through the Burger Menu. Users will be shown a static text page with cancellation instructions, after which the cancellation request will be processed by the ORGANIZER.
PARTICIPANTS' subscriptions may also be cancelled at the sole discretion of the ORGANIZER where a clear expression of non-interest in the SERVICE is demonstrated by the PARTICIPANT via SMS communication (e.g., the PARTICIPANT sends a message stating they do not wish to participate).
Customer Care agents are empowered to process cancellations on behalf of subscribers via the CRM interface.
8. Portal Access & Game Eligibility
Access to the Swipe It portal and its game content is governed by the subscriber's active status, successful billing, and available game credits, as outlined below:
Subscriber Status | Portal Access |
Active subscriber within the free trial period | Eligible for content |
Active subscriber, successfully charged within the renewal period | Eligible for content |
Cancelled but successfully charged within the renewal period | Eligible for content |
Active subscriber, not in trial period and not successfully charged within the renewal period | Not eligible for content |
Cancelled or never subscribed | Not eligible for content |
The eligibility of a PARTICIPANT to play games depends not only on their active subscription and successful charge status but also on the availability of remaining game credits. Upon each successful charge, subscribers receive three (3) credits, each enabling one (1) game session. Once all three credits are exhausted in a given day, no further games may be played until the next successful renewal.
Subscribers access the portal using Basic Authentication (username and password provided by Upstream) or via Soft Login using the tokenized URL delivered in the daily content MT, which enables automatic login without manual credential entry.
9. Additional Capabilities
All PARTICIPANTS can request help and general service information at any time by sending "INFO SW" or "HELP SW" to the service short code 7802. This service is provided at no cost to the user.
All PARTICIPANTS can retrieve their login credentials (username and password) for accessing the Swipe It portal by sending "PASSWORD SW" to the service short code 7802 at no cost.
All PARTICIPANTS can check their accumulated points balance by sending "POINTS SW" to the service short code 7802 at no cost.

10. Blacklisting
Users who have been blacklisted will not receive any Mobile Terminated (MT) messages from the service, either upon blacklisting or upon subsequent removal from the blacklist.
Blacklisted users cannot be contacted by the ORGANIZER. In the event that a blacklisted user attempts to access or interact with the Swipe It service, they will receive an MT message informing them of their ineligibility, served from the designated short code.
11. Abuse & Disqualification
PARTICIPANTS are prohibited from using automated systems, machines, bots, scripts, or software that simulate or automate interaction with the service. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of GSM modems connected to a computer or mobile phones attached to a computer for automated messaging or gameplay.
PARTICIPANTS must not exploit, manipulate, or attempt to circumvent the game mechanics, points system, or credit system through any unauthorized means.

12. Organizer's Responsibilities
The ORGANIZER's responsibility is strictly limited to providing the Swipe It Gaming service. The ORGANIZER reserves the right to modify, add, or remove game types, Bonus Challenge formats, Help features, and Leaderboard mechanics at any time without prior notice, in the interest of improving the service experience.
All SMS messages are considered received by the ORGANIZER when they are registered in the service's IT system, and not at the time of transmission by the PARTICIPANT. All SMS messages are considered received by the PARTICIPANT at the time they are dispatched from the service's IT system.
PARTICIPANTS acknowledge and accept that the system logs of the service's IT infrastructure serve as conclusive evidence of the date, hour, minute, and second of transmission and receipt of each SMS message.
